Karl …
@ganjaking187
Karl Benz also had never seen a gas station when he invented the car in 1885.
Hydrogen cars/bikes have larger a cruising range than “only” electric vehicles have and refueling hydrogen is faster than recharging batteries.

then you have the …
then you have the power lines which transfer electricity mostly at high voltages and low current, which is also relatively efficient, much more than high current low voltage.

You are inaccurate …
You are inaccurate cplai, or in other words, the host of this video.. I seen only of these on tv, it went around 20km/h at 1HP.. The problem is, you need quite a bit of hydrogen to provide anything usefull. An good electric system, the motor is around 80-90% efficient and so in the controller… A combustion engine is about 20% efficient.. What brings down the efficiency of electric is mostly the power plants that provide electricity.. Nuclear over here, is quite efficient

answer: fuel cells, …
answer: fuel cells, they produce electricity by using hydrogen and oxygen. byproduct is water. use an hho generator with a pulse width modulator to produce the hydrogen from water needed for the fuel cell, then reclaim the byproduct of the fuel cell reaction(water)to start the whole process over. this will keep charging the batteries while you drive down the road.

@cplai You are …
@cplai You are right. I have checked the recent ones which are for sale and 25km range with one charge is not sufficient.

Plug in electric …
Plug in electric also has its problem. Short range. If you want long range, you need to carry extra battery which weigh down the vehicle, so it is not energy efficient. Or else, you need to recharge it frequently and charging require long waiting. Refueling is often faster than recharging. Search for a video with title “Hydrogen fuel on the go”, that will be a good supply of the fuel and refueling can be fast once the supply become available to the public.

@ganjaking187 the …
@ganjaking187 the output of the reaction is water since it takes energy to break water apart but you get energy when you put hydrogen and oxygen together.

Well depending where you live. Here in Germany if anything goes fast than 40km/h which this Motorbike does(max. 80km/h) than you have to wear a helmet.
Even if you dont have to….why risk it?
January 18th, 2010 at 5:05 pm
