Not that I have …
Not that I have ever driven either of the two………..:-)

2

I personally never …
I personally never have liked the idea of an electrical car. No idea of power at your control, kinda wimpy, huuuummm down the road………

but this is something I like, you get the sound of power….. Like you are driving, not like you are washing clothes.

3

Electric cars are …
Electric cars are impractical. They take forever to charge! And battery’s are very very very bad for the environment.

However, hydrogen could be free if you had your own way of separating it from water, a wind turbine on your roof for example. Also your are right an electric motor is better but hydrogen powered cars would use an electric engine because fuel cells convert the reaction of hydrogen and oxygen into electricity and we could use the electric motor that way.

4

Hydrogen cars need …
Hydrogen cars need fresh water & electricity.

Our planet does not have enough of either.

Why 1/ create electricity to 2/ make fuel to 3/ run a heavy complicated engine, when instead you could just 1/ make electricity to 2/ run an electric motor?

Don’t you think the car makers know electric motors are cheaper lighter and more reliable to make & run… yes they do but it would slash their spare parts sales & service profits.

H fuel cells require expensive metals and maintenance.

5

It’s not water. …
It’s not water. Hydrogen is a GAS. When Hydrogen reacts with Oxygen it produces a energy that powers the car. THEN it turns into water.

6

It’s TONS more …
It’s TONS more available, because you get it from water when you run a current through it- BUT harvesting it is tough because we haven’t sunk trillions of dollars into it like we have with harvesting oil. However with wind farms at sea it’s virtually free (not counting upkeep).

However good luck with the crippling of the oil industry.

PROTIP: This tech came out 50 years ago and the inventor built the car to separate the hydrogen from the water IN the car with the battery.

7

me…………….
me…………….

8

hydrogen is jus …
hydrogen is jus water….

9

let me ask you …
let me ask you something: is hydrogen cheaper than gasoline/petrol? i dont have an idea.

10

lithium is very …
lithium is very available, unlike hydrogen which has to be made from water or fossil fuels

11

listen at time 8:41 …
listen at time 8:41 what a sound, and from a hydrogen car, i swear its amazing :P

i would also like to add that i believe completely that hydrogen fual is the way to go, tiny emissions in the process factor, and after being used by the car its water again, power without harm, how can anybody argue with that?

12

@RockManAU They …
@RockManAU They also tested the Tesla Roadster and on their test track it died after going 60 miles. Not a viable option.

13

yes, but jeremy …
yes, but jeremy clarkson’s an imbosile. no – one would drive like he did on the track in real life.

14

and the wrightspeed …
and the wrightspeed x1 0-60 = 3.02 secs

we need energy stations with cars that can drop out the batteries and replace them. or roads that can charge the car as you drive.

80 % of the energy is actually used with electric cars , hence they are quicker than fuel guzzlers. and cleaner too.

clean nuclear fusion will power our grids and energise our transport.

15

why make hydrogen …
why make hydrogen by using fossil fuel? that is so yesterday. use geothermal energy.

16

sorry. i like my …
sorry. i like my 97 tbird supercharged 4.6L

17

somebody wanna help …
somebody wanna help a hot chick out? Yeah I know you do

18

i agree but i also …
i agree but i also disagree, dude, using all the elctricity is what we’re trying to stop. they tell u to unplug ur cell phone charger. it makes no sense to unplug a small cell phone charger, then turn around and plug in a bigger charger for a car! BUT at the same time, air is VERY precious and we are running out.

19

zero, emission with …
zero, emission with the tesla is not true.. wat are u gonna do with the extra electricity u use in ur house???? aha!

and take a look at the tesla that has been tested on top gear.. it broke twice down in 1hour!!!!!!! and tesla promise a 250miles range with full battery’s… jeremy clarkson didnt make 100miles haha.. so if u compare the milerange/kw used… or milage/gallon fuel the bmw uses… the bmw is Much more “green”.. but hey! think electric :)

20

hydrogen is the …
hydrogen is the future electric jhas low autonomy and sucks. its not H2 like a bomb but H6 so cut the crap

21

The all electric …
The all electric Tesla Roadster does 0-60mph in 3.9 seconds, it’s available now, not in 20 years like this prototype and it really does have zero emissions, unlike this energy wasting H bomb!

The amount of money it would take to build the infrastructure for H gas is obscene when you consider we already have the infrastructure for the electric car in place now!

Serious about safer greener transport?
Forget hydrogen & think Electric!

22

Don’t be fooled!

Don’t be fooled!

He said they want to make hydrogen by using energy from renewables (solar, wind etc.) to run it…
Fine Renewable energy IS they way forward but…

Electric cars can use renewable energy too.

Here’s the difference;
using hydrogen is like eating food(energy) which makes poo(diluted energy), then using heaps more energy to turn the poo back into energy!

Electric is superior to hydrogen in safety, speed, reliability, cost and green efficiency!
Electric is faster than Ferrari!

23

fantastic…..thats …
fantastic…..thats what people need.
becouse, when we talk about green cars,
they always imagine a dummy tin can.

24

bmw is behind… …
bmw is behind…look at nissan leaf…much better

25

It is true that …
It is true that nuclear fusion would be an unlimited inexhaustible source of energy. But even today after 50 years of research there are no working cases. And estimates are even more disappointing, something in the range of 25-50 years into future.
